2013: TOP STORIES

This year that we have just left, has been full of important news. We can’t choose only one or two news because all have been important in one way or another. So I have decided to make a little “mix” with the top stories. 

 All of us are going to remember the tragedy of this summer in Santiago de Compostela. That train that was derailed, the people in critical conditions, the people that went to help... a big tragedy like the attempt in the Boston Marathon few months before. 
 Also we are going to remember that asteroid that passed so close to the earth, the continuous visits of the king to the hospital to recover from his hip injury after the hunt in Botswana. We can’t forget the hottest names as Bárcenas or Urdangarín which were always accompanied by the word "corruption." We must also name the many mass meetings and student strikes protesting against the new education law.

 On the other hand we have this “relaxing cup of café con leche in Plaza Mayor” the most famous sentence of the year by Ana Botella while she was defending the candidature of Madrid for the next Olympic Games.

 Finally the people who left us this year and that will always be remembered, from the great Nelson Mandela

to the explosive Paul Walker, through infinite number of people like Lou Reed, Maria de Villota, Jose Luis Sampedro, Sara Montiel, Mariví Bilbao... 

 Here I think that you can see a little resume of the year that can make us remember and think about the year that has gone, stay with the good things and leave behind the not so good to start this 2014 with a lot of energy!
